Collection: Pathways to Literacy Leadership

Pathways to Literacy Leadership is an online professional development experience for district leaders and administrators seeking to create an organizational vision for effective literacy instruction. The course prepares participants to lead change, implementing systems-based approaches to support teachers as they put evidence-based practices to work in their classrooms.

  • Asynchronous Orientation and Pre- and Post-Course Knowledge Inventory
  • 10-Sections
  • 4 live Virtual Community of Practice (VCoP) Sessions with an AIM facilitator.
  • Pacing Guide offers dates for live sessions along with a recommended schedule for completing coursework.
  • Time needed to dedicate to course - Approximately 30 hours total.
  • 12 Months Access to the AIM Pathways platform to access, review, and apply materials in the classroom when needed.
  • Aligned to the IDA's Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading.
  • The weighted average of all section scores and post-knowledge inventory score must be at least 80% to pass this course. Read all scoring details in the syllabus.

Credit

  • 30 hours available for CEUs
  • A certificate of completion is available for ALTA and other state credit. We also offer 30 Pennsylvania Act 45 credits for Pennsylvania Education Administrators with completion of a Literacy Plan with completion of the entire course and are not score dependent.
  • Arcadia University offers three graduate credits within one year of course completion for an additional cost with successful completion of the Pathways to Literacy Leadership Course with a required minimum score of 83%.
